Kayla + Greg

Greg and Kayla’s closest friends and family gathered on a beautiful beach in the Bahamas to celebrate with them as they tied the knot!  Needless to say, it was gorgeous.  I think everyone should get married in the Bahamas!  Do you agree?

The view from the “getting ready” room:

Greg, you may NOT see the bride yet!

Now you can see her!  : )

Dang, you’re cute.

Time to get married!

Greg’s nephews wrote a message for them in the sand.  Cutest thing ever!

Congratulations, guys!  Can we go back to celebrate your one month anniversary!?

Elspeth + Adam

Elspeth and Adam were married last Saturday which was a beautiful and COLD winter day!  You might remember Adam and Elspeth from their engagement session this fall.  The wedding party and family members got ready in Elspeth’s parents home which was buzzing with excitement and anticipation.  Brett Dorian Artistry was on hand to do hair and makeup and as you can see, did an amazing job.  The ceremony was held at the Cathedral of Saint Paul and following the ceremony, we made a quick stop at Rice Park for some pictures and before heading to the reception at the Semple Mansion.  Needless to say, it was a fantastic day with a totally in love couple.  Elspeth and Adam: a big, huge, hearty congratulations on a simply gorgeous wedding and an admirable love.  xoxo.

Elspeth’s brother drew the maps by hand and they were so cool:

Hello gorgeous.

Patiently waiting…

First look…yeah!  Love first looks!

Loved the tennis shoes…smart girl!

It’s almost go time.

Beautiful church.

Rice Park…I almost froze my un-mittened shooting hand here but it was worth it!

They got engaged at this spot!  Or very near to this spot!

It’s COLD…RUN!  Those tennis shoes would have come in handy here!

It was warmer in the wine grotto at the Semple Mansion!

Floral Logic did these beauties:

And Cocoa and Fig did these beauties:

LOVE The Traveling Photobooth!

Also, a big shout out to Stephanie from Table 6 Productions who was a fabulous coordinator to work with!

Lindsay-Rae + Stephen

Our 2011 wedding season started out right with Lindsay-Rae and Stephen’s wedding on January 2 in Vancouver, BC.  Both the ceremony and the reception were held at the beautiful Capilano Golf and Country Club.  With views of the mountains on one side and downtown Vancouver on the other, to say it was beautiful is an understatement.  During the speeches at the reception, someone mentioned that Lindsay-Rae’s motto for life is “Go big or go home” which holds true to this day…get this:  Lindsay-Rae is from Canada, Stephen is from South Africa, they met in Dubai and have recently moved to Singapore, gotten married and are expecting their first child!  Whew.  Their wedding day was a beautiful celebration of their love for each other as well as the love that surrounds them from their family and friends.  Congratulations, friends.  We are thrilled for you and are happy to have been a part of your big day!  xoxo.

Abby + John

Abby and John were married on a beautiful July day at the First United Methodist Church in Watertown, SD.  It was such an honor to photograph their special day because I have known Abby since we were little, little kids.  I have fond memories of our families adventures together: camping, 4th of July celebrations, swimming lessons, a trip to Disney World, the list goes on.  I suppose it makes me sound old if I say something like, “I can’t believe she’s old enough to get married!”, doesn’t it??  At least I’m not as old as Abby’s dad…I kid because I love.  🙂  Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS John and Abby!  We wish you nothing but the best as you begin your married life together!  Thanks for letting us share your special day. xoxox

John and Abby had one of the most emotional first looks I have ever seen.  It was pretty cute.

Trooper.  Laying in the grass in her wedding dress.  I love it.

Dad writing his speech.

It’s almost time!

I love this sequence:

MARRIED!

Kacey + Joe

Joe and Kacey had a beautiful wedding at Augustana Church in St. James, MN. Their wedding day was the perfect combination of fantastic (and HOT) weather, a beautiful location, an awesome wedding party, and a love worth celebrating. Joe and Kacey, what an honor it was to be a part of your wedding day. Many wishes on days as perfect as your wedding for many years to come!

I loved this little clutch!

First meeting!

It was hot.  Not just a little hot, like HOT HOT.  They were troopers though and I think it was worth it.

Pretty, pretty bride!

I love these:

Married!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Lana + Patrick

Often, I am overwhelmed with thankfulness that I am a photographer.  And it’s not because of the photographs.  It’s because of the incredible people I get to work with like Lana and Patrick.

Lana and Patrick are insanely cute together but more importantly, they compliment one another really well.  I love seeing big tough guys get emotional and weak in the knees and that’s exactly what Patrick did when he saw Lana.  They had a beautiful ceremony at St. Benedict Catholic Church followed by a great celebration at Oneota Country Club.  They also planned for lots of photo time, which I loved!  A big thank you to Katie Lewis for second shooting for us!

Lana and Patrick, we have loved getting to know you both and feel so honored to be able to photograph you on one of the happiest days of your lives…it was both a joy and an honor.  We hope that married life brings you many more days as perfect as your wedding day!

Getting ready!

In the meantime, Patrick was ready and waiting…and maybe getting nervous?!

Finally!  The first time seeing each other!

No tears, no tears, no tears…

This courthouse was right across the street from the church and was a beautiful spot for pictures.

Wedding day texts.

It’s ceremony time!

Married!!!

They were troopers.  We did some more pictures after the ceremony and it was HOT.  But I think it was worth it!

Oneota looked awesome!  Everything was PINK and it was so cute!

CONGRATULATIONS, you two!  We are so happy for you!

Anne + Richard

Anne + Richard had the perfect April day to celebrate their wedding.  Their ceremony took place at the gorgeous Bond Chapel on the campus of the University of Chicago followed with a reception at the Palmer House in downtown Chicago.  The weather, location, and all details of their day were beautiful but most importantly, the love between these two is beautiful.  What they have is to be admired and celebrated!

This was Anne + Richard’s first meeting.  Their expressions were so great in this series, I couldn’t pick just one!

Just pure happiness.

Here is Anne just arriving at the chapel before the ceremony started.

Anne’s flowers were stunning!  Greta from Anthony Gowder Designs coordinated all the florals.

Anne, you’re beautiful.

I couldn’t help hogging the bride, that light was so pretty and just look at her! 🙂

Anne being escorted by her dad.

The Bond Chapel is so pretty!

Married!!!

That’s a great look for you, Richard!

They had a cocktail hour at the Potter’s Lounge before the ceremony.  Such a cool venue!

CONGRATULATIONS!  We have loved getting to know you and were so happy to be a part of your celebration!  We wish you nothing but the best in the years to come!

Kael + Bryan

Overlooking the Mississippi, Kael and Bryan were married at the Nicollet Island Pavillion on May 14, 2010.  The week prior to the wedding was rainy and cold and yucky but when wedding day came around, it was perfect weather.  In fact, while taking photos in the park prior to the ceremony, WCCO was filming some footage for the evening weather and we all made the 6:00 news!  60 5 seconds of fame right there!  CONGRATULATIONS Kael and Bryan!  We loved capturing your day and send our wishes for a happy, happy marriage!

Prior to the ceremony, Kael and her girls got ready at the Nicollet Island Inn.  Then she and Bryan saw each other for the first time!

We had lots of time (and BEAUTIFUL weather!) for pictures around the Pavillion.  🙂  🙂

Justin got this one!
