Hello and welcome! I have recently relocated to Portland, Maine from Rochester, Minnesota and serve the wedding and portrait photography needs of Maine, Minnesota and beyond. This is the place to check out my most recent work and to get a glimpse into my life. Feel free to take a look around, I'd love to connect with you!

The Berg Family

We spent a day with the Berg Family at Lake Okoboji and it was seriously the quintessential summer day.  Boating, wake boarding, knee boarding and tubing with a stop at Arnold’s Park for a roller coaster ride and a nutty bar.  Then a quick shower and change of clothes before heading out for some more photos and finally ending the day with dinner on the beach.  At the end of the day, I crawled into bed happy and exhausted from experiencing the best part of summer.  Thanks for sharing a piece of your summer lives with us!

Lauren

I don’t photograph a lot of high school seniors but the ones that I do, are awesome.  AWESOME.  Lauren and her mom drove from Owatonna and were troopers as I made them traipse through tall weeds, lay on itchy grass, and face large bugs.  There is something refreshing, joyful, and inspiring about you, Lauren…you are about to begin her senior year of high school, full of endings and new beginnings.  Enjoy the ride and remember to call that sweet mom (and dad!) of yours when you’re off to college!  Thanks for sharing a little piece of yourself with me!  p.s.  You’re beautiful.

The Durgin Family

This is the Durgin Family.  In their backyard, summer 2011.  The morning was filled with giggles and a couple tears, jump ropes and sidewalk chalk, baseballs and three wheelers, dirty feet and mosquito bites, scraped knees and sunscreen.  Real life and real love.  I hope years and years from now these photos bring back memories of this ordinary summer day that perhaps wasn’t so ordinary after all.

The Goodwin Family

Ok, it never gets old.  I love photographing little kids and families.  Love, love, love it!  These guys were no exception!  Lily is a mini-dad and Levi is a mini-mom.  And they are both seriously adorable.  Happy Saturday, everyone!  Hope you can take some time to enjoy your own family!

Milo turns ONE!

Milo had his first birthday and we took some pictures to remember this beautiful day.  It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were taking these pictures or these pictures.  Though it doesn’t seem that long ago, lots has changed (i.e. Milo was born and grew a lot!) and I feel so happy that I get to tag along with my camera on special days with your family.  Happy 1st Birthday, Milo!

Kai

Kai, you are one year old.  How did that happen?  Your birth day seems like last month and look at you now.  Walking running everywhere, blowing kisses, saying da dad ad, flirting with the ladies…you certainly have developed your own personality and watching you grow this past year has been so much fun.  Happy First Birthday, Kai!

Lame

I know it’s lame to talk about complain about this weather.  So maybe we should just all crawl under the covers until the sun comes out again.  Anyone?

Elizabeth + family

Elizabeth and her mom and dad live in Duluth but came to Rochester to visit family and we squeezed a photo session in too!  I have photographed Elizabeth’s cousins before and they warned me about how cute she was.  Yup, she’s adorable.

Never a dull moment…

So.  We walked into the studio Saturday morning and saw water dripping from the ceiling.  I said words I don’t say.  We had one hour before we needed to leave for our wedding.  Hurry up and panic.  Leave four hundred four frantic messages for our landlord.  I never said I was a drama queen.  But then again, I never said I wasn’t.  Panic some more and then calm down.  It’s not THAT bad.  It didn’t touch the computers.  It didn’t touch the hard drives.  Even if it did, everything was backed up.  It’s slightly inconvenient but at least:  1. We weren’t entirely moved in.  2. We actually stopped, it would have been a lot worse otherwise.  3.  There’s no damage other than the ceiling.

So we set up shop here for now.  I’m wearing sweats.  And getting snacks on the hour.  And perhaps we’ll be eating Macs for dinner.  I guess it’s not all that bad.  Happy Monday!  🙂
