When he isn’t on his daily hunt for lost gloves, Hamiln enjoys long walks on the (Willard) beach and modeling fine dog leashes! 🙂 These leashes are handmade in Maine and can be found here. Knotty Dog Leashes are a perfect Christmas idea for any dog lover!
Meet Brigham, Bethany and Theo. Quite possibly the most kind, generous, joyful and loving family you’ll ever meet. Oh and adorable too! As I was talking to Bethany about what her hopes for their sessions were, she basically recited part of my mission statement which is: To create photographs which communicate the crazy, chaotic and yet beautiful life to parents now and to their grown children later. These (sometimes really looong) days of Teddy as a toddler will be over in a flash. I hope these images not only bring back memories, but also feelings of what life at this stage is like. A visual reminder of his wispy, baby curls, his sweet little giggle and the way he cuddles in. I hope these images that speak to Teddy as an adult about how much he is loved, because it’s A LOT. You guys are the real deal and it shows in the way you care for each other. I’m SO thankful our paths crossed. XOXOX.
Katelin + Danielle were married at the beautiful Ryland Inn in Whitehouse Station, NJ. Happiness and love were overflowing among family, friends, the couple and within all the details of the day. Celebrating with you two was a joy and an honor. Congratulations on a beautiful day and a beautiful love. Cheers to many more days as happy as your wedding day! xoxox.
It’s definitely winter here in New England…seriously we have gotten 4+ feet of snow in the past 2 weeks! But it is really beautiful and I think it is sort of magical getting snowed in. And look at this sweet, growing family. Nothing better than a toddler’s excitement of snow and little rosy cheeks!

We are in the midst of a snowstorm here in New England and although it is very pretty, I don’t mind reminiscing about warmer weather last fall… When I was back in South Dakota for Megan + Ben’s wedding, I was lucky to have the very talented, Jael second shoot for me. Seriously!! This lady is amazing…not only is she an awesome photographer, she also has the most beautiful boutique in Brookings (J.Ella Boutique) and a new one about to open in Sioux Falls! And not only that, but just look at how adorable her little family is! Throw in an old South Dakota farm and an antique truck and well, that’s a good day.
Tricia and Mike’s engagement session and wedding were some of my first shoots after moving to the East Coast and hold some great memories for me! So I was super excited to visit them in Boston again for some updated photos of their beautiful and growing family! They have added 2 sweet boys who could not be cuter. Add in the first babies (their dogs!) and some beautiful fall color and that makes for a great day! XOXO.
Remember this adorable family from last year? It’s appropriate that I am posting this near Thanksgiving because we are still so grateful for this Minnesota/Maine family. Clara affectionately refers to Kjelten as Cho Cho and Ike smothers Moose with more kisses than necessary. Thank you for your continued friendship and for being our personal tour guides here in Maine. Also, these were taken at Two Lights State Park and I highly recommend adding it to your Maine To Do List…
Nate and Binu were married on a COLD beautiful day in early October at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN. I met Nate at Lutheran Summer Music (Whoo hoo, band camp!) waaaaay back when so it was fun to cross paths again over 15 years later! Congratulations, we are so happy for you and feel thankful to have been a part of your big day! Special thanks to Sarah for second shooting!
Dustin + Courtney were married at The Big House on gorgeous Parsons Beach in Kennebunk, Maine at the end of September. The Big House is quintessential Maine, perched on the rocky coast just steps from a long stretch of sandy beach and the crashing ocean waves. Surrounded by their family and friends, it was the perfect setting to celebrate their love! Congratulations, you two! Special thanks to Courtenay Goff for second shooting with me!
